Home Health Aides (HHA)
Our Home Health Aides/Personal Care Assistants are bonded and certified by New York State Department of Health. They are fully screened, including criminal background check done by FBI, physical exam (drug screen test, flu shot, PPD). Our aides have excellent references and experience. They are oriented, trained and supervised by our Register Nurses. They attend annual in-service training.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting client with activities of daily living
- Feeding, cooking, bathing, dressing
- Exercise and assisted movement
- Consistent monitoring of client's condition
- Accompaniment to doctor appointments and social events
- Providing medication reminders
- Shopping for groceries
- Constant communication between agency, family and physician
- Ensuring client is comfortable and without pain
- Enhancing quality of life
